1. Import Products  Import Products:

The merchant first imports product information from their storefront software, an existing feed file, or even a simple spreadsheet into the Channel Management application. Although many storefront software platforms are preconfigured, this step sometimes requires a one time, simple mapping process. The import step is then automated.

2. Optimize Catalog Data  Optimize Catalog Data:

Merchants use their product knowledge and the information from the Chanalytics(sm) report to create business rules which will automatically optimize their products, content, and the channels to which they feed. This can be done by altering product descriptions, categories, product names and any other information that will make your products easier to find on the CSEs as well as selecting which products should be sent to each channel based on price point, quantity available, channel demographics or any other relevant data. This step will create the most efficient marketing possible.

3. Feed the Product Catalog  Feed the Product Catalog:

The Channel Management application will automatically convert the file formats and present the final file to each channel while incorporating the optimization for each particular channel (Merchants maintain their own direct relationships with their marketing channels. However, Channel Management provides support information to aid in the decision with the Channel Selection Wizard). The feeds are then scheduled, and altered only when a merchant wishes to increase marketing efficiencies within that channel.

4. Analyze  Analyze:

Review performance statistics using Chanalytics(sm) and any other available tools to indicate what changes, if any, should be done to optimize products and content. These steps should be repeated until the merchant is satisfied with their CSE marketing performance.
